• FAQs •
When to get maintenance?
Aesthetically this is personal preference. If you can't get your fingers to your scalp, its time to maintain your dreadlocks. It is important for air flow, sunlight and shampoo (to remove dead skin and debri) to get to your scalp. This can lead to scalp issues.
How often do I need maintenance?
Frequency of maintenance is personal choice, however for immature locs and frizzy crowns maintenance is recommended every 3 months. Immature dreadlocks require more maintenance in comparison to mature locs. Please wait at least 2 months till your next maintenance appointment.
Is the dreadlock maintenance only beneficial for the locs?
Maintenance is healthy for your dreadlocks AND for your scalp. As the dreadlocks mature the body of the loc requires less work and the roots are the main focus.
